Frequently Asked Questions
Foot Faucet, the automatic foot pedal faucet system for the kitchen sink.
Q: What does the "Latch" do?
A: The Latch turns on the hot and cold water at the same time and
leaves them on so you can walk away for a few seconds. You can adjust
your faucet lever(or knobs) for fine tuning temperature and flow volume.
Q: How long are the levers on the Foot Faucet?
A: The levers are variable in length from 3.25" to 5.5". You can select
a length range when ordering, or call us for a special length
Q: Do I need a garbage disposal to use the Foot Faucet?
A: No. But you do need electrical power under the sink. The Foot Faucet can use
power from the garbage disposal, the dishwasher or you can have an
electrician hard wire in power for the Foot Faucet.
Q: Isn't having a foot operated garbage disposal
dangerous?
A: Having a foot operated garbage disposal is safer than a wall switch
because the disposal is only on when the pedal is being pressed. While a
deliberate foot motion is needed to turn the disposal on, only a slight
foot movement turns off the disposal in an emergency, instead of a
difficult to reach wall switch.
Q: How long does it take to get a Foot Faucet?
A: We make them here in our shop so they usually ship in 1 to 2 days.
Q: Is there a way to switch back to using the regular faucet after I
install the Foot Faucet?
A: Yes, If you turn on the Latch then you can use the regular
faucet handle(s) like before installation. This allows you to switch
back and forth between foot pedal control and regular faucet handle
control.
Q: What are the return and warranty policies for
the Foot Faucet?
A: You can return the Foot Faucet for 30 days after you receive it for a
full refund, no reason required. The Foot Faucet is built tough so we
have a lifetime warranty on the Foot Faucet, return any malfunctioning
part for a no-cost replacement.
Q: Can the Foot Faucet have levers made from brass
or bronze?
A: Yes. We can make special orders for brass and bronze, and other
specials too... Do you have a specific need?
Q: What do we do if the power goes out?
A: The Foot Faucet comes with a manual by-pass feature that holds our
valves open so you can use your hand faucet normally until power is
restored.
